Totality

The planning for this trip began back in January when Herb and our friend Paul (who also happens to be our son Andrew’s future father-in-law) got it in their heads that it would be really cool to go up to Oregon to be in the path of Totality for the August solar eclipse.

I guess we were early on the eclipse band wagon, because we were able to secure two campsites at Solartown in Madras, as well as tickets to the Solarfest. That plus an order of a five-pack of solar goggles from Amazon, and we were set.

Herb and I were also able to secure a highly coveted camp site in Tuolumne Meadows (Yosemite) for 10 days before, as well as one in Crater Lake.

So began our trip to Totality!
